The classic challenge of the Alps

No ride is more inspirational than the classic Route des Grandes Alpes from Lake Geneva to the shores of the Mediterranean. Starting in the lovely lakeside town of Thonon-les-Bains and finishing under the famous lemon trees near the beach in Menton, the route takes in most of the greatest climbs in the Alps. Doing the trip over 7 days makes it achievable for any reasonably fit cyclist with some experience of the mountains.

Maybe these are our favourites. Mike and Deb and their team combine to bring the advice and the beauty of the bike and mountain together into one package in the wonderful Pyrenees. We love working and riding with them in their region and that is why we invited them to come to ours. If you want to experience the mountains for the first time and don’t even know how to go down a hill, there are camps for you here. If you are hard and experienced, Mike will help you enjoy it all even more. Hits the spot between hard training and casual and relaxed. I go to their place when I need a break.

The French Pyrénées are a wonderland of exploration and intrigue with many areas often overlooked in search of the more famous cols. Our Undiscovered Pyrénées week is all about heading off the beaten track, taming rugged wilderness and riding in awe at what can so easily be missed. We’ve continually been amazed by what we’ve found when heading into the unknown and now we want to unlock the secrets that we’ve found with you as well.
With full support from The Col Collective let us show you another side to the Pyrénées that’ll continue to enrich your soul for years to come.
We’ll host just one Undiscovered Pyrénées week this season with have a maximum group size of 10 riders to ensure so that we can offer the highest level of support throughout the week.

22nd – 29th Jul 2018

Our Tour de France week will capture the beauty of the mountains and the colours and character of the Tour as it passes through the Pyrénées. Combining peaceful yet challenging ride days with the spectacle of the world’s biggest race, whilst enjoying every minute with The Col Collective. Riding and watching the Tour in the same week is a surreal experience that often has us pinching ourselves in disbelief at just how magical the mountains can be.
We’ll be tackling some off the most legendary climbs in the sport including the Col d’Aubisque, Col d’Aspin, Col du Soulour, Hautacam, Peyresourde and of course the Col du Tourmalet, plus we’ll be getting up close and personal with the Tour as the pros go full gas in the Pyrénées.

8th – 14th Sept 2018

New for 2018, our Into the Wild “All Road” tour is for those that have been bitten by the gravel bug and want to go a little deeper off the beaten track, mixing roads with high mountain tracks and trails to get another perspective on the wild landscapes of the Pyrénées.
Supported by The Col Collective, discover paths that you’d never imagine even existed, from summit to summit and beyond. These are the rides that I’ve found when I head out with no agenda other than to explore, often returning in complete amazement at what the day brings when you go a little deeper into the unknown.

This tour will be a hugely unique and personal experience combining road, gravel tracks and forest trails in the day with comfort, relaxation and a lifetime of laughs and memories by night.
