Who rides with us?
Since its creation in 2014 the InfoCrank power meter has supported many amateur and elite athletes around the world to achieve their goals – with a raft of Olympic, Paralympic and World Championship medals won with the aid of an InfoCrank.
At Verve Cycling, we believe that great relationships are built upon shared ambition, a commitment to continual improvement and pure hard work. We want the InfoCrank to do the talking, not our wallet, so we don’t sponsor in the conventional sense – we don’t pay people to use our products – instead, we support athletes or organisations where we know that we can achieve something really special together. With that in mind, here’s an overview of some of our partnerships, or what we prefer to call our authentic advocates.
British Cycling and GB Cycling Team
A five-year partnership focussed wholly on making power-measurement available right across the world’s most successful track-cycling team.
Since 2015, we’ve worked closely with all of the top GB coaches, development engineers and mechanics to develop the most accurate and repeatable track cycling power meter available – a power meter capable of producing data other manufacturers could only hope for. Used extensively to support the team’s medal-laden campaign for the 2016 Rio De Janeiro Olympic and Paralympic Games as well as their march toward the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.
Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI)
A four-year partnership intended to provide an objective and measured development pathway into the top echelons of cycling
We started working with the UCI back in 2016, and since then we’ve helped cycling’s international governing body truly get under-the-bonnet of understanding power measurement in younger, developing athletes. Through this work, Verve hopes to benefit cycling globally by supporting the future generation of inspiring sports men and women; athletes who will ultimately become cycling’s custodians of tomorrow.
Canyon ZCC – eSports Racing Team
A two-year partnership with the world’s first professional eSports Racing Team to validate their training and racing data.
In 2020, we launched the first relationship of its kind. As eSports Racing explodes across the globe, Verve Cycling is the first to step in and support the first truly professional team on the scene by providing the world’s most accurate and repeatable power meter to validate all racing data. Canyon ZCC’s commitment to transparency is a great leap in the right direction and in partnership with InfoCrank they continue to set the standard – leading the fight against digital doping.
A two-year partnership with the women’s road-cycling team led by Dame Sarah Storey, arguably the most successful Paralympian of all time.
Sarah and the team have been using the InfoCrank for several years to aid their training and preparation, but in 2020 both parties decided to make it official. Dame Sarah requires no introduction, having competed in eight Paralympics, initially in the pool as a swimmer and latterly as a cycling time-trial specialist. We are thrilled to be working with such a motivating athlete as she prepares for a staggering eighth Paralympic Games at the sharp-end.
A two-year partnership with one of the most ambitious and professional Keirin teams on the circuit.
The KSPO Pro Keirin Track Team are based out of South Korea and are comprised of some of the best professional Keirin riders of their generation. The team compete throughout Asia in UCI sanctioned Keirin events and take a very serious approach to their training. Utilising the Track Infocrank backed up with VINC Pro, the world’s most sophisticated power-data analytics platform, the KSPO Team are looking toward World and Olympic success over the coming years and Verve cannot wait to be part of their journey.
A two-year partnership with one of Western Austalia’s top racing teams, which supports emerging talent and gives athletes the opportunity to compete at the elite level.
Veris Racing, based close to the home of Verve Cycling, shares our passion for true data that is accurate time and again; giving athletes a real chance to improve and achieve. The philosophy of the team is to provide athletes with sporting opportunity in exchange for community endeavours. This is more than CSR, the cyclists are also required to contribute to community initiatives that encourage and increase participation in all levels of cycling and sport. The ethos of the team is truly inspiring and we’re excited to see what we can achieve together.
Ambassadors – Riding with InfoCrank
A two-year partnership with one of the world’s most successful Paralympians. A 2016 Paralympic Gold medallist, multiple World Champion and world record holder.
Shawn is a retired US Army Major who experienced an explosion during her service in Afghanistan that caused brain trauma, blindness in her left eye and severe damage to her spine and neck. Shawn now experiences nerve damage that causes the right side of her body to fire very differently from the left. The InfoCrank power meter measures each leg independently to help Shawn and her coach gain an accurate understanding of her power output and train more effectively. Shawn’s story is truly awe-inspiring and we could not be prouder to support Shawn on her road to the Tokyo Paralympics.
2019 Hawaii Ironman Triathlon Winner. A two-year partnership with the world’s most consistent and inspirational female triathlete.
If you know triathlon, then you’ll have heard of Anne Haug. Anne has consistently been in the top finishers of the last decade in women’s triathlon and in 2019 finished on the top-step of the podium at the Hawaii Ironman. Anne has been using InfoCrank for several years under the radar but has joined is in partnership as she trains and competes through the 2020 and 2021 seasons. As humble as she is successful, Anne looks to InfoCrank for all her power-measurement needs as she continues to compete at the highest level.
More than just a game-changer for cyclists, the Infocrank has found its way into elite rowing by way of a two-year partnership with one of the strongest and most ambitious young elite rowers out there.
A recent addition to the InfoCrank family, Annabelle is an Australian elite rower with a raft of medals to her name and now has her sights set on a podium spot at the Tokyo Olympics. Cycling is a key part of Annabelle’s training schedule, helping to build her aerobic base. She uses the InfoCrank power meter to become a more efficient rider and to minimise any injury risk. We’re excited to see how the InfoCrank can support Annabelle to become a faster rower.
A one-year partnership with one of the world’s most-renowned Ultrcyclists, where body, mind and equipment will be tested to the limit.
Ultra-cyclist and World Record Holder, Steff Wagner, is a new addition to the Verve Infocrank family. Based out of Austria, Steff competes around the world in the types of events that push the body’s endurance to the absolute limit. In his preparation for events like the Red Bull Trans-Siberian Extreme, which covers over 9000km in 24 days, Steff uses the Infocrank to train intelligently and efficiently so that when it’s time to cross the start line he knows physically he’s in his best condition.
There are many other partnerships and collaborations that we are proud of and we firmly believe that great things happen when everyone comes together with the right attitude. Whether it’s working closely with the GB Cycling Team and the UCI to redefine what it means for world-class performances to be data-driven, supporting three of the most successful and inspirational athletes in triathlon and para-cycling or being at the forefront of an eSports revolution by supporting Canyon ZCC, at Verve InfoCrank we take our place in the peloton and drive the pace of innovation and change for the benefit of all.
